Rose’s Classic Americana

Boulder, CO

Carrie came to me through a referral. She was coming off of her success on season 15 of Top Chef and beating Bobby Flay in his show aptly named, Beat Bobby Flay, and nominated for a James Beard Award as the executive chef of Bar Dough.

She left Bar Dough in February 2020 to open her concept, Rose’s Classic Americana. Unfortunately, we are all too familiar with that time, and the pandemic closed everything the week the concept launched.

Sadly, RCA closed in August 2020; it was heartbreaking. The pandemic hit several of my clients hard, but none harder than this hard-working fantastic woman. It was an honor to collaborate with Carrie on RCA, and we still hope there’s another round for her in the future with the brand we created. Fingers crossed.

James Beard Nominee + Top Chef finalist, Carrie Baird

Carrie wanted to put a new twist to classic American fare, her favorite. She wanted it to be a reflection of her and the strong women she’s had in her life. Rose’s was Rosie the Riveter with a chef knife, a roll-up ya sleeve’s kind of gal putting in the hard work. Carrie wanted to inject herself too, and a part that’s important to her is her tattoos. She wanted her logo to have a traditional American tattoo style with bold colors, but that palette is limited to red, green, yellow, and blue with heavy black outlines. They’re wonderful and harken back to the days of the wild frontier, traveling circus acts, gypsies, and sailors singing in the street.

T-Shirt Design

Carrie wanted a shirt that looked like a biker shirt. Simple black v-neck t-shirt with a plain front. The back would have the logo stretched across the top half ready to peak out the side of your favorite leather vest you ride with.
