Team Jones
Basketball Camp

Yale University - New Haven, CT

I had the privilege of going to hockey camp for a couple of summers and was tickled to get the chance to work on a camp website with the Head Coach of the Yale Men's Basketball team, James Jones. The objective was to buy a new personalized domain and translate their brochure to a website with a camp registration and payment system based on Squarespace's Commerce Business plan.

A Home page is born.

We wanted to communicate that this camp was all about player development, movement, and finding success on the basketball court. We put that to motion with a video by WOW Stock Footage to welcome potential campers to the Team Jones home page. I added "Drills to Skills" almost as an homage to my experience at hockey camp.

Here's a screenshot of the design Coach Jones finalized for the new site. This is a great example of choosing a template and applying your content to the templates preexisting styling.

eCommerce Cart System

The eCommerce system needed a way for campers to select their session date and have the price then reflect whether they were signing up to be commuters or as overnight campers.

Registration Forms

Campers needed to register and answer some important questions about who they are, their background, t-shirt size, etc.. We were able to make individual forms for the two different camp options, the Elite camp for college bound high school aged boys and for the Bulldog Day camp for younger players looking to develop their skills under Coach Jones tutelage.

And the site needed to be responsive and viewable on desktop, tablet, and cell screens.
